Fun - 2005

Story

Sex and sleaze pop out of Bollywood one more time in the movie ?Fun?Can Be Dangerous Sometimes?. The film tells the story of three wives swapping their husbands for ?fun?. But then this fun becomes dangerous.

Some Bollywood filmmakers seem to have hit upon a formula that safeguards their films from biting the box-office dust. A good n spicy punch of sex, a couple of semi-clad babes, a little bit of comedy, suspense, and Lo! you have a flick that at least guarantees to recover its money and if possible make some profits as well.

And there are some hot and bold new damsels in our tinsel town who want to climb the ladder to fame a little faster and don?t mind shedding inhibitions (as well as their clothes) on screen.

A film like ?Fun?Can Be Dangerous? is made when these two ?likeminded? class of people come together.

It seems that Payal Rohatgi has vowed to set new milestones in skin show in Bollywood. And following her example is a good number of other babes with similar ambitions to fame. ?Fun?? has a good dose of exposure, thanks to Payal and three other girls.

The film tells the story of Natasha (Payal), her husband Aryan (Sidharth Koirala), and her two friends Phalguni and Urmila. Natasha and her two female friends have a knack for notoriety. On the New Year?s Eve the three girls decide to add some variety to their monotonous sex lives by deciding to swap their husbands.

To this end, they go for a holiday to a beach resort. There they meet another couple Megha (Heena Rehman) and Raj (Aryan Vaid). And just when the dirty game of ?Fun? is about to begin, things become dangerous and lead to the murder of Megha.

Fingers of suspicion point to Megha?s husband Raj, who had left the resort before the murder to visit his factory in Mumbai. Natasha?s husband Aryan is a criminal lawyer and the man who can reach to the depth of this murder mystery. But then, he is also among the usual suspects.

The only thing that ?Fun?? promises is the erotic display of skin by the three leading belles in bikinis. There are also a few hot intimate scenes between the male and female characters that show their cannibalistic lust for sex.

Only Payal Rohatgi manages to enact her role with some conviction in the film and that too because she has a natural flair for playing such roles. Other girls simply ham, flaunt their cleavages and give a few erotic expressions.

Sidharth Koirala disappoints. He neither has the face nor the skill to make it in the tinsel town. Aryan Vaid is just about OK.
