Viveka Babajee

Biography

She is tall, dusky and beautiful. She is in fact much more than that. Crowned Miss Mauritius in 1993, she is the hottest debutant in the modelling profession in India.

Born and brought up in Mauritius, Viveka's mother is a Maharashtrian who was born in Hyderabad.

Viveka is the youngest of four sisters. She used to do a lot of fashion shows in school and she used to put a lot of
effort and hard work into it. She also completed a diploma in fashion merchandising.

With her title of Miss Mauritius, came fame and fortune. Soon she started receiving a plethors of modelling assignments. She did a few TV and print assignments.

She also participated in Miss World and Miss Universe sub-contests in Phillipenes. Though she didn't win any of the titles but the expereience proved to be very beneficial. She gained a lot of exposure and attention and she even received a couple of film offers. Later on, due to some false charges, her Miss Mauritius title was taken back but restored after some time. She had been busy walking the ramp and endorsing the products. Viveka made headlines when she agreed to do the prestigious Kamasutra Condom ad.

She is very fond of Madhuri Dixit and her favourite hollywood actress is Demi Moore.

She likes sea food a lot. Raw green chillies turn her on very much. She eats them with everything -- breakfast, with hors d'oeuvres, on airplanes... If she stops eating chillies, her face breaks out in pimples.

Her ideal vacation place is her own Mauritius.

Death
She was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her apartment on June 25, 2010 at her Bandra residence in Mumbai. Police reports say that Babajee committed suicide due to depression. Unconfirmed reports said that she got depressed when she broke up with her boyfriend.
