Story
An old don (Om Puri) leaves a will for his son Vikrant (Rahul Dev), son-in-law Guru Gulab Khatri (Akshay Kumar) and daughter Preeti (Jhangiani) who is Vikrant's stepsister and Guru's wife. He has diamonds worth 100 crores in a New York bank and the trio would have to go together to retrieve them or in case of death of one or more with a proper death certificate. To get Guru framed Vikrant murders a politician but Guru flies to New York beforehand. In the neighbourhood a dhuki husband Anmol (Aftab Shivdasani) and his father-in-law Manilal (Paresh Rawal) stay with their dominating wives Mona (Amrita Arora) and Paramjeet (Supriya Pilgaonkar). When the ladies learn about Guru and that Vikrant is ready to pay Rs 20 million they make the hubbies go to India to inform Vikrant about Guru.
Vikrant sends Yeda Anna (Sunil Shetty) and Chotta Chatri (Johny Lever) to find Guru but it turns out that Anna is Guru?s friend. Meanwhile Yeda Anna falls for Anmol's wife, Anmol falls for Guru's wife and Guru falls for Anmol's secretary (Aarti Chhabria). Phew quite a merry go round. Vikrant reaches New York and they end up in a brain-racking climax.
The film belongs to Paresh Rawal who provides the most entertainment. Akshay tries his best with poker faced comedy and action which is his forte. He does lots of action simply copied frame by frame from movies like Crouching Tigers and Matrix but can?t live up to their standard. Aftab Shivdasani seems lost all the time. Sunil Shetty is wasted. Rahul Dev and Johny Lever are good. Preeti Jhangiani goes through the drill like a machine. Aarti Chabbria shows off everything she can- in terms of skin not acting. Amrita Arora disappoints.
