Story
Hungama revolves around Anjali (Rimi Sen), who arrives in Mumbai escaping from enforced matrimony, looking for a job. She ends up sharing a house with Nandu (Aftab Shivdasani), since their landlord only wants couples as tenants, suspecting infidelity on the part of his wife.
But that's just one of the stories.
There's also Jeetu (Akshaye Khanna) who hires Anjali mistaking her to be the daughter of the wealthy Radheshyam Tiwari (Paresh Rawal).
Whose wife suspects he's having an affair. And suspects he has children out of wedlock.
Whose one such "son" hoodwinks Kachra Seth (Shakti Kapoor) into getting him married to his daughter.
Don't ask. There were I think two more such parallel stories, which would really make you sit down and keep tally of what was going on where, if only the movie gave you time to do that. The resulting Hungama, however, ensures laughs throughout the movie. There were the mandatory songs to keep the recording label happy, but Rimi Sen more than made up for those.
