Story

Saajan is a love story involing two best friends and a girl they meet. Aman (Sanjay Dutt) is a poet who uses the pseudonym Sagar so no one will know his true identity. Aman's best friend is Akash (Salman Khan), a happy-go-lucky young man who goes from falling in love with one to another. Through correspondence, a fan of Sagar's, Pooja (Madhuri Dixith)falls in love with him Aman returns that love until he finds out Akash is also in love with Pooja. Aman decides to sacrific his love for the sake of his friendship with Akash. But then when Akash finds out about Aman being Sagar, he is heartbroken because Aman did not trust him with the truth.
